THE CLINIC OF INSTITUTE

The Clinic of the Institute has the highest certification category and consists of Registration Office, Intensive Care Unit, Gastroenterology Unit, Arterial Hypertension and Kidney Diseases Unit, Morbid Anatomy Unit, Radiological, Functional and Ultrasound Explorations Unit, Medical Rehabilitation Center, Consultative Polyclinic, Clinical, Biochemical and Bacteriological Laboratories, Informational Analytical Department.
There is a Department of Resuscitation and Intensive Care for high quality service of patients suffering from cardiovascular pathology. It has 12 beds and modern resuscitation equipment that meet all the requirements.

The services of the Clinic are:

• Medical advisory for population of Ukraine;

• Carrying out qualified diagnostic, curative, preventive and rehabilitation services for patients suffering from internal diseases due to the science themes of the Institute.

The Institute’s Clinic is proud to have many of the area's most skilled physicians, nurses and other health care professionals on staff. The majority of our physicians are board certified in their fields, which means that they meet rigorous requirements for excellence, most of them have MD and PhD, and hold teaching positions at area medical schools, which keeps them current with the latest medical advances. Our nurses also are highly qualified, with special training in their service areas. Hospital serves as a teaching hospital, with a residency-training program in internal medicine.

Our patients get all necessary clinical examinations: electrocardiography, Holter monitoring, veloergometry, threadmill-test, X-ray, ultrasound, computer tomography, spirography and many others.

Elimination committee in Ambulatory Office works every day due to patients who needs investigation and treatment in the Institute.

As a result of work for the period of existence of department over 170 professional articles, 380 theses, 7 methodical recommendations, are printed, 2 certificates are got about registration of copyrights.

Every year more than 50 000 patients get medical care in our Ambulatory Department; more than 4500 of them are being treated in the Institute’s Clinic.

Physical therapy, reflexotherapy, psychotherapy, remedial gymnastics, plasmapheresis, magnetotherapy and many other kinds of treatment in addition to pharmacotherapy are widely used.

The significant contribution of development of our Clinic has been made by: the first head physicians V. Cherepov, M. Uvarov, the deputy of head physician l.Rastegin, professor I.Bondarenko and other clinicians.
